BROADENING OUR NEW HOPE MINISTRY SCOPE

Posted: 29 January 2016

As most of you know, New Hope Center was founded in 2010 with the vision of providing aged-out orphans with life-skills and a quality education, giving them a chance at a better future and hope.

We have been pursuing this goal through group homes, mentoring, a training center, a drop-in center, and various clubs, camps, and orphanage visits. This past year God has been broadening this vision to include not only orphans, but social orphans, children from single-parent homes or dysfunctional families, children from large families, refugee families, and children who have lost one or both of their parents in the war.

We have put together a 3-year program working towards our vision of seeing not only children, but their families (if applicable) come to find completely healing and wholeness for a brighter and more successful future. We believe if the family as a whole learns what unconditional love is and how to show it through the way they intentionally communicate and interact with their children, there will be a long-lasting impact that can be passed on to the next generation, making better communities, better cities, and better lives.

Our goal is to reach 150 children in the next 3 years through two- or three-times-a-week counseling sessions, life-skill courses, communication courses, crafts, and other activities. We will have a team of counselors, staff, and volunteers from New Hope Church working alongside of us. Our ultimate goal is for each one who comes through our doors to come to a real and life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and find lasting healing through Him.

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support over the past several years. We have been blessed beyond measure to partner with you to see the lost and the broken come to find Hope. We are excited to continue on this journey with you to see our broadened dream become a reality through prayer and the power of God – to His glory!
