Our SECOND CLASS has graduated from our PROFESSIONAL TRAINING for ORPHANS Course
The second group of orphans who received professional training at New Hope Center graduated on January 29th. Ten orphans from Orphanage #3 took classes in cooking and hair-cutting for the past four months. The kids were taught the basics of the profession they chose and received practical skills that they can use in the future.
New Hope Center teachers were able to share with orphans not only their knowledge, but their love and their hearts as they spent time with them on a weekly basis. They encouraged the orphans to continue improving their skills when our course was completed and helped them realize that they can be successful in life.
On graduation day orphans got to visit a real salon and restaurant to be able to spend time in an actual working environment and they were even given the chance to practice some of the skills they learned during their training. At the end of the day we had a graduation party — we ate pizza, the graduates received certificates of completion, and had lots of fun!
Afterwards the orphans shared their gratitude for the teachers and New Hope Center for giving them the opportunity to attend our professional training program. And we would like to thank everybody for supporting New Hope Training Center. Hopefully we will be able to have more graduations in 2015! Our next group of students to learn professional skills is scheduled to begin in March.
